Golf is a very popular sport in the region, with no fewer than 6 golf courses in the Pays de Gex, including two close to the hotel.

The nearest, about 5 minutes’ drive away, is Golf de la Manchette. It offers an 18-hole course with beautiful views of the Jura mountains.

A little further afield, we have the Golf & Country Club de Maison Blanche, founded in 1992 in Echenevex in the Pays de Gex, with views across the Alps and the Lake Geneva basin. It comprises two courses: Les Sources, an 18-hole championship course, and L’Allondon, a 9-hole course perfect for beginners.

At the foot of the Jura, a land of hiking

Horse-riding enthusiasts can also explore the region on horseback, with several riding clubs located close to the hotel, including the Echenevex Pony Club, Belle Ferme in Gex and Ecuries du Rosey in Grilly.

Viarhona stage

For cycling enthusiasts, the ViaRhona is an 815-kilometer cycle path linking Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean. Hôtel La Bonne Auberge is an ideal stopover for those cycling the ViaRhona. Cyclists can enjoy the hotel’s hospitality, free garage parking and rest before continuing their journey.
